• Our Harlem rug is handmade by local artisans in India using traditional weaving techniques, making each piece bespoke which sets this rug apart from its machine-made counterparts.
• The Harlem rug has a robust bleached jute base which has been perfectly complimented by the soft, natural cream wool pile to create a pretty high-low checkered design throughout, making it the perfect subtle yet stylish addition to all interiors.
• The combination of materials means the Harlem rug is soft underfoot thanks to the wool yet incredibly hardwearing and practical due to jute being one of the toughest natural fibres making it great for those high footfall areas of your home.

Care instructions:

• Use a Vacuum Cleaner regularly to avoid dirt accumulation.
• In case of stains, first clear off any excess moisture as soon as possible. Don’t rub, as this can cause the stain to set, and rubbing can fray the natural Jute fibres.
• Gently brush with a soft brush and water as immediate treatment.
• Dry immediately with a hairdryer or fan to avoid damage.
• If the stain is acidic, use soda water instead of water.
• For solids, gently scrape it off with a blunt knife or spatula.
• Occasional cleaning from a professional rug cleaning service is recommended.
  
• Due to the handmade nature, this also means that there will be some slight variation in weave, size and colour throughout each rug, which is normal and can be attributed to the weavers who made them.
• We always recommend using rug pads to keep rugs in place as well as protecting your rug and your floors.
