REPLACING MY BROKEN BED 🔥 one of the ottoman arms completely bent in so we’ve been sleeping on the piss for weeks. I downsized to a king size, and I got my hands on a new emmasleepuk Next Gen cooling Mattress … and boy oh boy - she does not disappoint. I’ve had Emma’s on previous beds and guest beds and even got Jack to get one … no complaints about sleep quality in this household. I haven’t posted in over a month, mainly as we’ve been trying to decorate 2 rooms simultaneously. Neither has been speedy and I feel like a forth bridge painter, #takingforever but tada today I have something to post 🙌 my little girls room has had an upgrade to a bigger girls room.
I started the room with the drawer handles and made everything else fit as I became obsessed with these matildagoad star back plates. The brass handles were from dowsingandreynolds and literally the best bargain at £3.99 and even though they’re from 2 different places they look like they were made to go together. Is there anything better than fresh bedding? We've treated ourselves - in green, obviously 😂
I was on the lookout for more linen as I absolutely love our white set, but it's so expensive I couldn't justify it. Instead I bought a couple of replacement pillowcases for the linen set (which is like Trigger's broom by this point) and this weald green washed cotton set from marksandspencer x firedearthuk. Definitely gives the room a fresh look, we've had white bedding for years!
And no, I could never, will never, iron bedding. Sorry not sorry.

The smallest bedroom in the house but probably my favourite. I had custom built furniture to make best use of space and had this made to frame the beautiful tall windows, all wrapped with modern but character filled cornice and simple panelling on the walls.
The paint colour used was a really soft dusky pink from valsparpaint called Morning Hush.

Clear instructions, assembly took around 2 hours with two of us. Very impressed that it was so easy to assemble as an ottoman. I love it!
Just be aware that it is a fabric rather than a solid base which I had not expected but as it is so close to the ground it doesn’t matter, still holds plenty.

A great bed with plenty of storage inside. Easy to assemble, the velvet is easy to clean. The navy colour appears darker in a normal room, as opposed to a studio photos at Daals, simply because usually we don’t get as much light at home. Beautiful either way.
Goes perfectly paired with Daals Richmond range of drawers and side bed tables in Taupe.
