Here is a bright and warm part of the Manchester House on this dreary Monday.
In this corner of the room, the radiator was moved so I could place the sofa here, and the floorboards were sanded and whitewashed. I also brightened up the room with a 1960s yellow & green colour palette made modern with off-white accents and light woods 💛💚
As well as the surface finishes, the floorboards were fully insulated underneath. Lighting, switches, sockets and door knobs were also added/replaced.

Really pleased with this velvet sofa. The design is lovely and although it advises it needs two people to assemble I managed it on my own no problem. Looks luxurious too.
I can’t praise the delivery of this item highly enough. I was given a rough estimate of the time it would arrive and it was there literally within a few minutes of it ! Amazing !!!! Best delivery service I’ve EVER had !!!!Highly recommended 😁

The snug. The brief for this room was as the name suggests, a snug, warm functional space. It had been used by the previous owner as her office and I’m not surprised at all. It’s one of my favourite spaces to be in. South facing, views of the garden and you feel tucked away as it’s on its own. Don’t be fooled by the nature of this reel. It’s taken us almost 4 months to get to this point. A plethora of issues including asbestos pipes, blown plaster, wasps nests, no insulation and windows that would have fallen out with a strong wind all held us up. We did a lot of the work ourselves but it’s still meant lots of time, contractors and cost. It’s destined to be a space for work, rest and play. Very good looking sofa, but don’t fool
yourself into thinking it ends there! It’s actually got a quite generous depth and is super comfy to watch your favourite shows whilst either sat down or laying on it. The velvet feels great to the touch and my cats have no interest in scratching it. Back cushions are secured with Velcro and have never even come close to coming off or being dislodged by regular use.
