I think madedotcom has designed this lamp uniquely for my pad :)
The deep green of the base and matt black of the metal pyramid top, is the constant theme of my living room and I can’t believe how good it looks next to the fireplace! The previous lamp didn’t quite work and the light was too bright with no ways of dimming it down. The Tyler lamp from madedotcom instead, is diffusing the light downward, creating together with the other lights touch points, a cosy and atmospheric game of shadows. I couldn’t see the material description on line and I assumed the base was possibly metal faux marble. What a surprise when I lifted it from the box and realised it actually is a very heavy block of real marble!

I think madedotcom has designed this lamp uniquely for my pad :)
The deep green of the base and matt black of the metal pyramid top, is the constant theme of my living room and I can’t believe how good it looks next to the fireplace! The previous lamp didn’t quite work and the light was too bright with no ways of dimming it down. The Tyler lamp from madedotcom instead, is diffusing the light downward, creating together with the other lights touch points, a cosy and atmospheric game of shadows. I couldn’t see the material description on line and I assumed the base was possibly metal faux marble. What a surprise when I lifted it from the box and realised it actually is a very heavy block of real marble!

We actually had some lovely weather this week which is where I managed to get the blue sky from the window, but this weekend has literally been awful, the wind and rain all day! On days like this I just want to hibernate and have a cosy bath!

Moving house is a funny concept. We moved into this new house with so much joy & excitement, paint brushes in hand, ready to make it our own. However, it’s hard to shake the memories & mundane routines of our old home. The new house doesn’t feel like ‘home’ but now visiting the old without all our furniture & knick-knacks doesn’t either. Stuck in an odd limbo between both places. But we’re taking it day by day, box by box. Slowly but surely we’ll get there, the memories will flow and this will be our new ‘home’. 🤞🏼⛅️

Been playing music chairs again, after returning the Made.com chair for being too bulky. I wanted a chair next to the fireplace, (remember that I had the wood logs there?) that would face the sofa to engage conversation, and also that would benefit of the incredible view of the large industrial window. The chair I had in mind however, was too chunky and made the space look smaller. For this reason I decided to return the fat chair to Made.com and instead, I moved the Daals green chair in its place. The slimmer lines fit perfectly and the wooden structure compliments the adjacent tv bench. I also think it looks great next the fireplace. The Homesense stool went to replace the Daals chair and I love how its shape recalls the arched abstract figure of the painting above it. I have decided I am not going to buy another chair as this layout works perfectly. Sometimes, in interior design, as in anything else, we misjudge and make mistakes, and that’s OK! xxx

This is my first purchase from them and I am very satisfied. The chair is beautiful, very sturdy and came already assembled. Slight delay on the delivery but customer service was extremely prompt at resolving the issue. Daals actually has lots of interesting, quirky and modern design pieces, but manages to keep affordable prices, you should check it out. You might ask, what did you do with the madedotcom yellow chair that I carried on the train from Kingston to my former residence in Richmond? This has now found a place in my mustard bedroom where it adds a modern touch and even more warmth and texture to an already really cosy room ~~~~

💫 Here is our beautiful designed apartment in renaker_ THREE60. 💫
Our design was inspired by mid century modern design with chic touches including a round walnut table with a jagged base, Boucle chairs and a sideboard with curved doors. We had a beautiful media wall made with fluted walnut panelling.

To be honest, most of it has been horses, dogs and home - which is generally most of the time anyway!

Our mini kitchen makeover 🩷
The addition of the famous pink sofa to our kitchen meant that we needed to rethink how we use this space. We added a new unit (which we are going to change 🙈) and a new dining table and chairs, which has been on our to do list since we moved in.
We still need to order two more chairs for each end of the table, add a standing lamp for the corner of the room near the new unit & change the mirror - I am thinking wedding photo wall, or just 3 big prints from the wedding?
We LOVE this space so much more now & it’s made our kitchen feel more like home 🏠
